Paris Saint-Germain met Manchester United on Tuesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League qualifier for a place in this year's group stage.

PSG came into this game after getting a 1-0 win over St-Etienne, while United's last game saw them getting a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

And with PSG failing to get an advantage going into the second leg, it will be a scenario of a must-win for Jocelyn Precheur and the team.

Starting 11

Formation: 4-3-3-

Constance Picaud

Karchaoui, De Almeida, Jean-Francois, Le Guilly

Geyoro (C), Albert, Groenen

Baltimore, Chawinga, Martens Van Leer

For the first 45 minutes, it was heavily PSG-influenced, with Mary Earps having to keep busy continuously denying the Parisiannes a lead. Into the second half, for the second game in a row, Tabitha Chawinga found the back of the net and put PSG a goal up. Melanie Malard was the difference after she was subbed on, and eventually, she brought United back into the game with a fighting chance. And, that was that for the day.

So, it's a goal apiece at half-time, and PSG must get a win to advance from this tie and avoid early elimination.

Next up for Paris is Reims as they return to the D1Arkema League, where week four will be played out.
