PSG transfer target Ana Vitoria announces exit from Benfica

One of the many transfer targets of Paris Saint-Germain, Ana Vitoria, has announced her departure from Portuguese club Benfica.

Vitoria joined Benfica in 2019 and extended her contract for two more seasons in 2021. Her contract expires on June 30th, and she has decided to finish her journey with the club at the end of this month.

During her time at Benfica, she collected a total of 10 trophies and scored more than 40 goals.

She was the first player to wear the number 10 shirt for the side when she joined and she will now leave the club as one of their most remarkable players.

This comes right after rumors talking about PSG being close to an agreement to sign the player emerged a few days ago. It does look like PSG will be her next destination; as of this writing, there haven't been any other clubs linked to her that we are aware of.

Signing the 23-year-old Brazilian would be a good move for PSG, as she's proven herself to be clinical in front of goal and capable of providing them too.

The biggest issue for the capital club during the 2022/23 season was finding goals due to injuries for Marie-Antoinette Katoto and then, later on, Kadiditaou Diani.

Vitoria could be an excellent addition to the club for their upcoming season, where the club hopes to have a successful season.

The summer transfer window is highly important for PSG if they want to achieve that goal but also in regards to some players moving on from the capital club that will need to be replaced somehow. So far, Kheira Hamraoui, Barbora Votikova, Ashley Lawrence, and Amanda Ilestedt have left, with others also pending a resolution and with expiring deals.

PSG have only signed Katarzyna Kiedrzynek at the time of this writing, a former goalkeeper of the club who has now returned.

Now that it's confirmed that Ana Vitoira will no longer be at Benfica next season, it seems more details will emerge on the possible transfer to PSG in the next few hours and days.

It's also said that Viola Calligaris will become a PSG player, which could be announced soon. Also, it's been reported that PSG have initiated conversations with Manchester United's Aissatou Tounkara.
