PSG to visit Japan as part of their next Summer Tour
With more than 10 games left in their season, Paris Saint-Germain are already working on their summer "vacation" and plotting a trip to Asia for the preseason.
According to information obtained by GOAL, the club from the French capital is currently organizing a "Summer Tour 2023" and all signs point toward a return to a country they already know and visited last year: Japan.
The board of PSG is already "conducting discussions to renew the deal" with Japan in order to stage another tour in the Asian country, although GOAL also informs that "nothing has yet been signed and the final answer should come in April."
If the negotiations with Japan were to fail, Paris could still "visit one or more Asian countries during the month of July," reports GOAL.
The trip to Japan would include "meetings with local supporters" and according to the obtained information is "not linked nor conditioned to the potential departures of star players like Lionel Messi or Neymar."
That's something PSG should really keep away from this deal, of course, considering both should be leaving Paris as soon as possible if the team want to grow and reach further rounds of the Champions League in the future. Better that, than just a randomly fun summer trip to Japan, folks.
PSG already visited Japan between July 17th and 28th last year, playing three friendly matches on performing different commercial activities with local partners involving their players. Keep the circus running and the coffers open, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, because there is nothing like too-deep pockets!
So there is that. Expect the current (and soon-to-be-again) French champions of PSG to visit Japan and if you're one of the lucky people residing in the Asian country get ready to embrace and nicely soft the circus that is coming your way.
