The Paris Olympics began this Wednesday. Two PSG players, Achraf Hakimi and Arnau Tenas, are involved, and both played on Wednesday. The fortunes were mixed for the Parisians.

While Bradley Barcola and Warren Zaire-Emery were not allowed to participate in the Paris Olympics by PSG, as they were called up by Didier Deschamps for the Euro, two players will still represent the Rouge & Bleu during the competition: Achraf Hakimi, with Morocco, and Arnau Tenas, with Spain.

PSG stars shine at Paris Olympics, Morocco edges Argentina

The Moroccans faced Argentina in a title contender clash. In this encounter, it was the Moroccans who managed to open the scoring through Soufiane Rahimi, who propelled the ball into the net after a very good cross from the right by Bilal El-Khannouss.

The Moroccans made the difference just a few minutes after the break, thanks to a penalty by the same Rahimi. Despite this setback, the Argentinians did not give up and managed to reduce the score through Giuliano Simeone, who pounced on a low cross from Julio Soler (2-1, 68).

The Argentinians were back in the game and created several chances, but were thwarted by a very good Munir in the Moroccan goal. The end of the match was completely crazy. The referee added 15 minutes of stoppage time. The Argentinians managed to equalize in the 90+16 after a wild sequence. After an initial shot by Thiago Almada was saved by Munir, Argentina saw shots from Otamendi and Amione hit the bar. Cristian Medina finally recovered the ball and equalized from close range with a header.

But just when it seemed the referee had blown the final whistle, he instead sent all the players to the locker room due to rising agitation in the stands. Almost two hours after the end of the match, the game resumed for two minutes. The Argentinian goal was annulled for offside. Morocco ultimately triumphed in a completely surreal end to the match (2-1).
