This season is particularly special for PSG as it's the first one without the presence and quality of an elite footballer like Kylian Mbappe. Despite losing the goal-scoring ability of the Bondy native, Luis Enrique's side have found solace in the talent of a young French prospect, Bradley Barcola.

Bradley Barcola is off to a stellar start this season, already scoring three goals in two Ligue 1 matches. PSG's number 29 is currently the league's top scorer, and to celebrate, he'll have a personalized jersey for the upcoming match against Lille.

Since last season, Ligue 1 introduced a new feature highlighting the league’s top scorer. Whenever a player leads the scoring chart, a special top scorer logo is placed on the upper back of their jersey, signifying their position as the league’s highest scorer at that moment. Last season, this logo remained firmly on Kylian Mbappé's back as he dominated the scoring charts throughout the season when the league introduced this new element.

After the first two matchdays of the 2024-2025 French Championship, another PSG player now dons this special logo, and it's none other than Bradley Barcola. The French international has netted three goals since the season began, including a brace in last week's 6-0 victory over Montpellier.

Barcola is currently tied with Mason Greenwood at the top of the scoring chart, but he holds the top spot as all three of his goals have come from open play, while Greenwood's tally includes a penalty. Will Barcola retain this honorary badge after the clash with Lille? We’ll find out tomorrow after 11 PM.

Bradley Barcola becoming the top scorer shows off his talent and how much faith PSG’s coaching staff have in him. His consistent performance has made him a crucial asset to the team, particularly in the absence of other key players due to injuries or transfers.
