The PSG women's team continues to build its squad for the 2024/2025 season. Today, Paris Saint-Germain announces the signing of Jennifer Echegini on a contract until June 2027.
Following the signings of Mary Earps and Romee Leuchter, the extension of Elisa De Almeida, and the appointment of Fabrice Abriel as head coach, the PSG team officially welcomes Jennifer Echegini. The 23-year-old, whose full name is Jennifer Onyi Echegini, also known as "Joe," joins the Parisian squad from Juventus Turin.

PSG signs Nigerian superstar Jennifer Echegini
In her six months in Italy, the Nigerian international scored 10 goals and made 1 assist in 16 matches across all competitions. This impressive performance helped her club qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League and earned her a place in the season's best XI, as well as being named a rising star of the season.
Internationally, Jennifer Echegini has 10 caps for Nigeria, scoring one goal. In 2023, the midfielder participated in the World Cup and reached the round of 16 before being eliminated by England in a penalty shootout.
On the official Paris Saint-Germain website, the new Parisian shared her initial thoughts: "Today is a very significant moment in my career. Signing with Paris Saint-Germain is an immense honor. I am very proud to join a club known worldwide for its ambition and excellence. I am eager to start and can't wait to give my best to win as many trophies as possible with my teammates and for the fans."
On its official social media channels, the club announced the news with a message from former PSG legend Jay-Jay Okocha, who shares the same Nigerian roots as Jennifer Onyi Echegini.
