PSG has retained a strong position in the latest UEFA coefficient despite a setback in their recent match ending in a 4-1 loss to Newcastle last Wednesday.

The French club, despite losing to Newcastle, holds the 4th position in the UEFA club rankings. In comparison to Dutch clubs, French clubs are performing better. The defeat, however, has caused PSG to drop to joint-12th place in the current season's rankings, with 6,000 points.

To secure their standing, PSG needs to defend the 19,000 points earned in the 2018/19 season. Despite the slip in the ranks, PSG still holds a comfortable lead over Liverpool, positioned 1,000 points behind.

Looking at the broader picture, PSG remains 4th in the general club ranking over the last five seasons with a total of 99,000 points. Real Madrid leads with 128,000 points.

PSG's upcoming challenge is to accumulate points this season as they will lose the 31,000 points gained in the 2019/20 season next year. This is crucial for PSG's future rankings in the UEFA club standings.
