Ousmane Dembele's move to PSG appears imminent as the capital club looks to bolster their right wing and is looking to make the official announcement of his signing as soon as Monday, August 7.

The club has already paid his release clause, previously set at €50m, and reached a five-year contract agreement with the player, running through June 2028.

However, the formalization of the transfer is being delayed by Barcelona's slow process of sending the necessary documents for the French international's departure.

Despite the paperwork setback, Dembele has been in Paris since Thursday, and sources indicate that he could undergo a medical examination on Monday, something he's not been able to do yet as the paperwork confirming the transfer is needed for that to happen.

If everything proceeds as planned, Dembele will be announced as a PSG player first thing on Monday morning so he can then join his new teammates for training tomorrow afternoon following the signing of his contract.

The Catalan side, knowing they have already lost the battle and that Dembele will play at PSG next year, appears to be in no rush to submit the paperwork needed for the operation to go through, though.

This delay does not cast doubt on Dembele's imminent signature with PSG, as reported by RMC Sport, but both PSG fans and members of the staff eagerly await the finalization of the transfer if only to finally rest easy about the transaction and to have him training ahead of the Ligue 1 opener next Saturday.
