PSG's schedule leading up to hosting Real Sociedad in the Champions League
Recently, the LFP has unveiled the schedule for Matchday 21 of Ligue 1, and the highly anticipated clash between PSG and Lille set for this occasion will take place on Saturday, February 10th at Parc des Princes.
Paris will have a keen interest in winning this encounter as the match between OGC Nice and AS Monaco will conclude that matchday, and one of PSG's main pursuers will inevitably drop points.
From a broader perspective, PSG now has its full schedule for the next three weeks, the last ones before the crucial Champions League Round of 16 showdown against Real Sociedad scheduled for Wednesday, February 14th.
The pace of matches for PSG will significantly intensify in the coming days. Starting on Sunday, January 28th, the team will host Stade Brestois in Matchday 19 of Ligue 1. Five days later, on Friday, February 2nd, they will travel to Strasbourg for the Matchday 20 fixture. Again, five days thereafter, on Wednesday, February 7th, PSG will face Brest at Parc des Princes, this time in the Coupe de France.
With PSG vs. Lille set for Saturday, February 10th, and PSG vs. Real Sociedad scheduled for Wednesday, February 14th, the Luis Enrique-led team will have exactly four days to prepare for their crucial European commitment. The Basques will be in a similar situation as they host Osasuna on the same day PSG faces Lille. However, PSG will enjoy the significant advantage of having played three consecutive matches at home, avoiding long travels.
PSG's schedule for the upcoming weeks:
PSG vs. Brest (Ligue 1 Matchday 19) on Sunday, January 28th.
Strasbourg vs. PSG (Ligue 1 Matchday 20) on Friday, February 2nd.
PSG vs. Brest (Coupe de France Round of 16) on Wednesday, February 7th.
PSG vs. Lille (Ligue 1 Matchday 21) on Saturday, February 10th.
PSG vs. Real Sociedad (Champions League Round of 16, first leg) on Wednesday, February 14th.
Nantes vs. PSG (Ligue 1 Matchday 22) on Saturday, February 17th.
