PSG's Moscardo set for Reims loan to kickstart Ligue 1 journey
Having joined PSG this summer, Gabriel Moscardo is set to experience Ligue 1 with another team. His loan move to Stade de Reims is well on track.
Signed by PSG for €22 million, including bonuses, last winter, Gabriel Moscardo joined his new team this summer after a six-month loan back to his boyhood club Corinthians, and a four-month absence following foot surgery. Not yet at 100% when training resumed on July 15th, the 18-year-old Brazilian will gain experience with another Ligue 1 team.

Indeed, as has been discussed over the past few days, Gabriel Moscardo is heading towards a loan move without a purchase option to Stade de Reims. According to recent information from Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been reached between the parties for a loan until June 2025.
PSG will cover part of the player's salary and has included a clause allowing them to terminate the loan in January 2025 if necessary. The next step will be the medical examination of the Brazilian U20 international. According to UOL Esporte journalist Bruno Andrade, this loan to the Champagne club could be officially announced this Thursday.
This move away from Paris has been in the works for several weeks. In a competitive PSG midfield featuring Warren Zaire-Emery, Joao Neves, Vitinha, and Fabian Ruiz, PSG is banking on Gabriel Moscardo getting more playing time in his first season in Europe. "In addition to wanting to offer their protégé as many minutes as possible, the reigning French champions want to see their player develop in Ligue 1. This will allow him to adapt to the intensity and tactical demands of the top tier of French football," reports Foot Mercato.
