After their impressive win against Le Havre last week, PSG returned to Ligue 1 action on Friday night with a home game against Montpellier at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians delivered a stunning performance, overpowering Montpellier with a dominant 6-0 victory.

From the start, PSG demonstrated their intent to control the game. In the second half, their dominance became even more apparent as they quickly added to their tally. Marco Asensio set up Ousmane Dembele on the right flank, who then delivered a precise pass to Bradley Barcola. Barcola left unmarked, slotted the ball into the net for his third goal of the season, making it 3-0 in the 53rd minute.

The onslaught continued five minutes later when Nuno Mendes provided a superb cross for Achraf Hakimi, who finished with a spectacular volley to make it 4-0. Just two minutes after that, Ousmane Dembélé found Warren Zaire-Emery in the box. The young midfielder skillfully bypassed his defender and calmly beat goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte with a right-footed shot to extend the lead to 5-0.

New signing Desire Doue, who had replaced Barcola, soon made his presence felt. He created a notable chance on the right side of the area, resisting a challenge from Savanier and firing a powerful shot from a tight angle that was saved by Lecomte. Doue would have another chance later, but his attempt was again thwarted by the Montpellier keeper.

Despite a few opportunities for Montpellier, PSG maintained control throughout the match and added a sixth goal. Doue, now well-integrated into the game, found Hakimi on the right, who then passed to Kang-in Lee. Lee’s stunning strike sealed the score at 6-0 in the 82nd minute.

With this resounding victory, PSG continues their dream start to the season. They will next face Lille on Sunday evening as they look to keep their momentum going.
