PSG reactivate the Randal Kolo Muani option
PSG has been linked with several potential names, and among them is Randal Kolo Muani. While the interest in him seemed to have waned recently, the player has resurfaced on the Paris transfer radar of late.
Throughout the summer transfer window of 2023, Randal Kolo Muani's name has been repeatedly associated with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as many others.
However, according to reports from L'Equipe, Luis Campos, in private conversations, had indicated that the pursuit of the Eintracht Frankfurt striker might not be successful. That, of course, might be related to his reluctance to acquire the player, as he seemingly doesn't like his talents.
Nevertheless, due to the challenges PSG has encountered in finding attacking options, the possibility of signing Kolo Muani has gained momentum once again in recent hours. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly reached out to the player's entourage to reignite the negotiations.
Kolo Muani shares the same agent as Ousmane Dembele, and his potential arrival would address two needs for the club: the desire to bolster the French presence in the team and to fulfill UEFA list requirements, adding an extra Frenchman to the Parisian ranks.
The negotiations for this significant addition to the squad are allegedly being handled personally by Nasser Al-Khelaifi, signaling the importance of this "big transfer" for PSG.
More importantly, the pursuit of Kolo Muani is said to be "separate from any potential dealings" whether those involve Kylian Mbappe (out) or Dembele (in). On the other side of the equation, Eintracht Frankfurt remains hopeful that their French striker will stay at his current club.
RMC Sport also confirmed that PSG have "reopened negotiations" for Randal Kolo Muani of late considering him "a priority signing" if they fail to secure Harry Kane, which looks like the most probable outcome.
These reports were also shared by Foot Mercato, describing Kolo Muani as an "offensive priority" for the Parisian club.
