Although the victory at Brest (2-1) was very difficult to achieve, PSG were lucky enough during matchday 27 of Ligue 1, not only for winning in the last minutes of the match but also for practically all their pursuers lost points and the Parisians now have a more significant lead.

There are difficult victories that in the end are very important in the race for the championship, and PSG's win against Brest in the last minute of the second half is clearly one of them.

Among the top six teams in the standings, PSG were, along with Lens (who beat Clermont 4-0), the only team to take all three points this past weekend, and therefore MD27 was a very positive one for Paris Saint-Germain to stay at the top of the table.

PSG, closer to a record-breaking 11th French championship

On Friday night Lille had the advantage at the end of the match against Lyon but ended up conceding a draw (3-3). Olympique de Marseille suffered the same fate on Sunday night against Strasbourg (2-2).

A brace from Jean-Eudes Aholou at the 88th and 89th minutes paralyzed the Stade Velodrome residents after they were already thinking about themselves as winners over the weekend, although they stay in second place in the championship anyway.

They didn't win, but a draw is always better than a defeat, like the one suffered by Monaco (0-1 against Reims). Rennes also fell behind, with a draw against Auxerre (0-0).

At the end of Matchday 27, Paris now has a whopping 66 points at the top of Ligue 1, crossing the 10-point gap for the first time this season.
