PSG are looking to bolster their wing depth and they have targeted young players with a French passport in order to do that, following the new "Frenchified" model imposed by Luis Campos and Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

On Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano doubled down on his early reports about an interest of PSG in Lyon winger and France underage-international Bradley Barcola.

Although the top priority on PSG's target list is Bernardo Silva, there is going to be a battle for his signature (assuming he leaves) featuring the likes of Barcelona and Al Hilal. That's why PSG are looking into potential alternatives already.

The young Barcola is coming off a sensational season in which he appeared in 31 matches across various competitions at Lyon at just 20 years of age scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.

Lyon, understandably, is hesitant to part ways with their wonderkid, although a substantial offer from PSG might change the equation, if only because of the financial pressure Lyon is currently under.

Recent reports reveal that positive talks have taken place between PSG and Barcola already. The capital club is determined to step up negotiations and convince Lyon to release the young talent, which might prove the tallest hurdle to clear.
