Seventeen-year-old midfielder Senny Mayulu is experiencing a promising start to 2024. Following his standout performance in the French Cup against Revel last weekend, where PSG secured a 9-0 victory and his recent involvement in first-team training, Mayulu has officially been integrated into PSG's Elite group.

The beginning of the year has been auspicious for Senny Mayulu, a product of PSG's 2006 generation youth academy. Invited, along with some of his peers, to join the professional team in the days leading up to the first match of the year in Revel, Mayulu not only had the opportunity to be on the field but also stood out when coming on in the final minutes of the game.

Although initially relegated to the U19 team along with other teammates at the beginning of the week, Mayulu has recently made a return to the first team, courtesy of the opportunity provided by coach Luis Enrique. The talented midfielder, known for his ambidexterity, has officially changed his status within the team. PSG announced on its social media platforms that Senny Mayulu has officially joined the club's Elite group.

Expansion of PSG's Elite group

This Elite group, established by Luis Campos in June 2022, serves as a bridge between the professional team and young talents. It includes young players who may not necessarily have a professional contract and typically play in the U19 category but train daily with the first team.

So far, only Ethan Mbappé and Warren Zaïre-Emery were part of this group in the current season, unlike last year when there were four or five players.

The addition of Senny Mayulu to this prestigious group will provide him with the opportunity to train daily with PSG's elite, an excellent way to continue his development and move closer to the possibility of signing a professional contract.

The Parisian club aims to secure Mayulu's continuity, as his current contract expires next June, similar to Ethan Mbappé's situation.
