PSG's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi met Tottenham Hotspur's executive chairman Daniel Levy last week in London, according to a report by Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports.

While the topics discussed at that meeting are not detailed in Sky Sports' report, it is believed that Al-Khelaifi and his group of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI, of which NAK is the chairman) discussed a potential investment in the Premier League and one of its current clubs.

Before the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar, there was a belief that QSI might look into actually abandoning Europe, PSG, and football as a whole to entertain different endeavors. That thought is aging like milk judging by the latest reports.

According to Sky Sports and another report coming from Dominic Hogan of the Daily Mail, QSI "seek to change their ownership approach in part of an ambitious strategic shift in 2023."

QSI might buy Manchester United or Liverpool after having built an empire at PSG

This meeting between Al-Khelaifi and Levy makes for an interesting development considering two of the most prominent Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool, are currently looking for external buyers or investors.

When it comes to the world of football, QSI's flagship is obviously PSG since they took over the Parisian club back in the early 2010s. This past summer, though, QSI expanded their portfolio by acquiring shares of Portuguese top-flight side Braga.

Although Braga is on a completely different level than PSG and QSI don't plan on investing as much in Portugal as they've done in France, the move is considered a first step into finding "investment opportunities across the world."

The plan, as reported by the Daily Mail, is for QSI to "elaborate multi-ownership networks across the globe" joining the current trend of top-tier clubs acquiring shares of lesser organizations to expand their reach.

The Daily Mail clarifies QSI's unique approach, though, by adding that the Qatari group "have interest in only two teams," one of which is PSG and the other one a Premier League club and not Braga.
