Since rejecting a move to Frankfurt this summer, Hugo Ekitike has found himself out of favor at PSG, prompting the club to initiate plans for his departure during the upcoming winter transfer window to get rid of the underperforming and ostracized youngster.

Hugo Ekitike seems eager for the winter transfer window to arrive sooner rather than later. Following a disappointing season last year, the 21-year-old striker was shown the door by PSG this summer. Expressing a desire to move to England, he turned down a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, causing a hiccup in the Randal Kolo Muani transfer deal. Consequently, PSG have sidelined him.

PSG, displeased with Ekitike's refusal to go on loan to Germany, has taken a firm stance. Despite making an appearance on Ligue 1's MD1 against Lorient, the striker was subsequently excluded from the squad for the following four Parisian matches and was left out of the Champions League list.

A transfer or, at the very least, a loan, is being discussed for him this winter. According to the latest information from Loic Tanzi, "a solution is already being worked on for the month of January" at the capital club.

Eager to move to the Premier League, Hugo Ekitike engaged in talks with West Ham and Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window. The question remains whether they will still be interested in securing his services in January, considering his current absence from the PSG lineup.

Another rumored contender to sign him, Everton, could entertain the idea if they want to stay in the Premier League for next season when they will be opening and playing in a new stadium in Liverpool, which they would hate to do so getting relegated to the second-tier of the English pyramid and dropping to the Championship for the 2024 season.
