As the summer 2024 transfer window draws to a close, the end of the PSG mercato seems calmer than many expected. While fans and observers hoped for offensive reinforcements, the club’s pursuit of key attacking targets has slowly fizzled out, leaving Paris Saint-Germain with few additions as the window nears its end.

PSG has been actively seeking offensive players to replace their all-time leading scorer since the beginning of this summer’s transfer market and the confirmed departure of Kylian Mbappe. Additionally, Goncalo Ramos’s recent ankle injury, which required surgery and will sideline him for at least three months, sparked speculation that the club might seek a last-minute striker.

According to recent reports from Loic Tanzi, a journalist for L'Equipe, no offensive players are expected to join Luis Enrique’s squad before the transfer window closes on Friday, August 30, at 11 PM.

This sentiment is echoed by the latest updates on PSG’s summer targets. The most notable, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, is set to stay with Napoli under new head coach Antonio Conte. In Spain, Nico Williams is also expected to remain with Athletic Bilbao. Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman appears to have accepted an offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, and Victor Osimhen is reportedly open to joining Al-Ahli.

In recent hours, another PSG target, Rayan Cherki, seems poised to extend his contract with his boyhood club, Olympique Lyonnais, and rejoin Pierre Sage’s squad. Lastly, the pursuit of Jadon Sancho, the English international who fell out of favor at Manchester United, has come to a close. Instead of heading to Paris, Sancho is set to join Thiago Motta’s Juventus Turin.

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Manchester United and Juventus have agreed on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, sealing Sancho’s future away from the French capital.
