In seven years, Kylian Mbappe built a significant legacy at PSG. The French forward leaves Paris having played 307 matches and scored 256 goals for the Parisian club. These statistics highlight how crucial Mbappé was to PSG, leaving as the club’s top scorer with an extraordinary goal contribution.

In the Paris Saint-Germain environment, recent days have been filled with several questions: Who will replace Mbappe? Who should be signed to fill his shoes? But the real answer came from Luis Enrique after winning the French Cup, in his strong and clear statement about Mbappe: “He is a unique player; there is no substitute for him.”

However, PSG found a gem in the summer 2023 transfer market, suggesting that Mbappe’s heir might have shared the locker room with the departing 25-year-old.

Bradley Barcola, PSG’s gem

Bradley Barcola has proven to be a fantastic player for PSG during the 2024/2025 season. In his first year with the club, the 21-year-old forward established himself in Luis Enrique’s first team and, with his performance in every match, was recognized by Didier Deschamps for the Euro 2024 squad.

Barcola joined PSG on August 31, 2023, for a transfer fee of 45 million euros from Lyon. Since his arrival, he has played 38 matches for the Parisian club, contributing 5 goals and 9 assists this season. Additionally, he showcased significant offensive prowess through his speed and dribbling, while also contributing defensively with his support on the left wing.

Bradley Barcola has a promising future, and many consider him the “replacement” for Kylian Mbappe. Others believe he should inherit the “7” jersey at PSG, where his contribution to the team was impeccable this season.
