Reportedly in the race for Leny Yoro, PSG quickly backed down in the face of Manchester United's XXL offer for the young Frenchman. After securing the transfer of the LOSC defender, the Red Devils' management hopes to do the same with Manuel Ugarte.

As soon as Euro 2024 ended, the transfer market heated up and the biggest deals started happening. The latest involves Ligue 1 selling its most expensive defender ever. Indeed, for €62 million plus €8 million in bonuses, 18-year-old Leny Yoro moves from LOSC to Manchester United, with just one year left on his contract.

According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, the signed contract is for five years, and the player will wear the number 15, with only the official announcement pending. Following this deal, Manchester United's management aims to progress and finalize the Manuel Ugarte operation.

Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sport Germany states that the Manchester United management is ready to push for the Uruguayan's transfer. They have reportedly told PSG's number 4 that he is a priority for the Red Devils' midfield, making Manuel Ugarte eager to play in northern England. While no agreement has been reached at this stage of negotiations between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, Florian Plettenberg confirms that discussions are ongoing between the two clubs.

Meanwhile, PSG's significant advances in the Joao Neves pursuit strongly indicate Manuel Ugarte's future under Parisian skies and the role Luis Enrique might have for him in the squad.

Although the club paid €60 million for the Uruguayan last summer, he remains under contract with PSG until June 2028 and is not expected to be sold off cheaply by its management. While profit-making will be challenging, the 23-year-old could still bring substantial funds to PSG's coffers.
