PSG among five undefeated teams in major European leagues in 2024
By Manuel Meza
In matchday 25 of Ligue 1, PSG drew (2-2) at Parc des Princes against Stade de Reims. A day after the match, it's time to analyze the performance of Luis Enrique's team in numbers.
Although the draw represents a setback, especially at home for Paris Saint-Germain, this encounter against Stade de Reims allows the capital club to extend its current unbeaten run in 2024.
In 14 matches across all competitions, Parisians have accumulated 10 wins and 4 draws. Since the beginning of the year, only four teams from the top five leagues remain unbeaten: Manchester City, Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, and, of course, Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG, a club that thrives at home
Regarding its home strength, Parc des Princes remains a fortress. In the last fifteen matches played at home, Luis Enrique's team has recorded 11 wins and 4 draws, extending its unbeaten run at home to 15 consecutive matches.
In the league, the streak continues. Currently, the Rouge & Bleu have a series of 20 matches in Ligue 1 Uber Eats without a defeat, with a record of 14 wins and 6 draws. It is the current longest streak among all elite teams.
Across all competitions, the Parisian club extends its streak to 22 matches unbeaten, with their last defeat on November 7th, in a 2-1 loss against AC Milan at San Siro in the Champions League.
Individually, Goncalo Ramos is currently in top form. PSG's number 9 has scored his fifth goal in his last six starts in all competitions against Stade de Reims. In 2024, the Portuguese played ten matches and scored six goals in that period.
