PSG vs Lens - Grades: Forwards

7 - Messi: Funnily enough, on the day that PSG returned to the Parc des Princes with half of the Ultras stand closed, Messi put on a magnificent performance and a total show. Messi did it all on the pitch on Saturday and reminded us that he still has it in him if/when he wants to deliver the goodies. Assisted, scored, dribbled, and drove Lens defenders mad,... If only had this Messi played against Bayern Munich instead of the version that did so a few weeks ago...

7 - Mbappe: Record-breaking evening for Mbappe as he bagged his 139th Ligue 1 goal donning the jersey of PSG since he arrived in the capital back in 2017. As I already said about Messi, this is the Mbappe that PSG want and need on a weekly basis. Active, willing, roaming the pitch from left to middle and the other way around, always trying to bring the team forward with steady threatening actions.

Doesn't get a higher grade because he just switched off after the half-time break. It's reasonable considering the score was already at 3-0 in favor of PSG, but he could have finished the day with a freaking haul had he put on an equally strong effort in the last 45 minutes as he did in the first half.
