Promising young forward doesn't rule out return to PSG
Arnaud Kalimuendo, the forward for Stade Rennes since the summer of 2022, is keeping the possibility of returning to his training club open.
After experiencing limited playing time at PSG and enjoying two successful loan spells at RC Lens, Kalimuendo decided to change the course of his career. At 22 years old, and following a transfer to Rennes for a sum close to 25 million euros in the summer of 2022, the forward has experienced ups and downs in his performance in Brittany.
In an interview with Telefoot this Sunday, Kalimuendo was questioned about a potential return to PSG in the future. Although he has a strong attachment to his training club, the French under-21 international did not rule out this option and praised Kylian Mbappe as an inspirational player.
With a contract until June 2027 with Rennes valued at 20 million euros, Kalimuendo has made it clear that he would consider a return to PSG if the right opportunity arose. However, for now, he is focused on his development and performance at his current club.
Kalimuendo's journey reflects the unpredictable nature of a footballer's career trajectory. Despite his initial struggles to establish himself at PSG, his time at RC Lens provided valuable experience and helped him mature as a player. Now, at Rennes, he continues to evolve, navigating the challenges and opportunities that come with playing in Ligue 1.
As he navigates his career path, Kalimuendo remains grounded and focused on his development. While the prospect of returning to PSG holds allure, he understands the importance of making the most of his current situation. With each match, he aims to showcase his abilities and contribute to Rennes' success, all while keeping an open mind about what the future may hold.
