Plot twist in the Marcus Thuram transfer saga!
No Marcus Thuram won't sign with Paris Saint-Germain to play football in France next season. Thuram discarded PSG and will play in Italy's Serie A. He will also play in the city of Milan. Now, which colors (red or blue) he will represent, that's entirely up in the air!
Despite being a target for Paris Saint-Germai with his arrival costing nothing as he's about to enter free agency at the end of June, Thuram will not be signing with the French club. He will, instead, set camp in the Italian capital.
It's been reported that Thuram made his decision guided by the uncertainties still surrounding the future of PSG, which don't even have an official manager at this point, just one week from reaching July. His integration in the team under prospective manager Luis Enrique also created doubts in the striker.
After pondering his options, Thuram has seemingly decided to move to Italy and join the ranks of Serie A, although everything pointed toward AC Milan until Friday, when there was a plot twist in Thuram's transfer saga that might end with him signing with opponents Internazionale.
Inter have successfully convinced Marcus Thuram to join them instead of AC Milan. Both the latter and other clubs such as RB Leipzig entered Thuram's sweepstakes but were ultimately ditched.
Football insider Santi Aouna first reported the news of Thuram's change of heart, which was later confirmed by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia.
Thuram is set to sign a five-year contract with the Italian club, who were the runners-up in the recent Champions League final.
With this news, and if the rest of the rumors have anything in them, PSG should now be down to choosing between Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen to complete their forward line and deploy along with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar next season.
