After endless rumors, the French Supercup (Trophee des Champions) will finally take place in France and inside the Parc des Princes in particular. This will mark the return of the competition to French grounds after being played in Israel for the last two years and in other international venues since the 2009 edition.
The only exception was in 2020 when the Trophee found its way to Lens. Breaking the recent trend, PSG and Toulouse will face each other at the Parisian stadium, which has caused some controversy. The final will be held on Jan. 3 in the 28th edition of the championship.
The decision might not sit well with the fans of Toulouse, as PSG's blunder initially led to an online ticket sale before being promptly removed from their website. Despite the inconvenience, fans of Toulouse will have to make the journey to Paris, the customary home turf of PSG.
