Oceane Toussaint signs first professional deal with PSG Feminine
By Hidayah Ali
Paris Saint-Germain Feminine have signed Oceane Toussaint, until now a member of the PSG Under-19s team. The deal was announced by the club on their official website a few hours ago.
The goalkeeper has committed to a deal that will keep her at PSG through June 30, 2026.
During her time with the PSG U19s, Toussaint won the league title and was awarded Titi d'Or, an award for the team's best young player handed every season.
Toussaint has already debuted internationally, appearing for France's U16s, U19s, and U20s. She has not yet made it all the way to the senior national squad, though.
The 19-year-old, now attaching herself to PSG for three more years, will hopefully be a significant opportunity for her to establish herself in the goalkeeping position, as she already seems a talent to keep an eye out for.
Oceane Toussaint Interview
After the news of their contract was released, the young French player spoke with the PSG official website.
"I'm really proud, firstly of how far I've come and then to sign my first professional contract!"
She described this new deal as a "huge honor" and a "fresh start in life."
When asked about turning pro at PSG, she said: "I couldn't have wished for anything better I'm signing for the club that developed me and taught me everything; it's a huge source of pride for me!"
It will undoubtedly be an excellent achievement for the youngster and PSG, who have yet again developed an upcoming talent that they will surely hope to keep in tow for the next decade and beyond.
Toussaint suffered an injury in the past few weeks but insisted that she feels "good and ready to keep learning to try to become the best."
We wish Oceane Toussaint the best of luck at PSG Feminine!
