This Wednesday, October 4, PSG visited Newcastle United at St James' Park, on the occasion of the second round of the UEFA Champions League. The Parisians arrived in England after drawing 0-0 against Clermont, last ranked in the French championship. On the other hand, the Magpies were coming off a streak of not losing for five consecutive games.

The match ended with a score of 4-1, in favor of the locals. Newcastle's goals were scored by Almirón (17'), Burn (39'), Longstaff at 50', and Schär scored the fourth at 90'. The scorer of the Parisian goal was Lucas Hernández, from a pass from Zaïre-Emery (56'). Therefore, PSG lost the status of leader in Group F of the UCL and placed second with three points.
