The main captain of PSG, Brazil international Marquinhos, is reportedly on the verge of inking a contract extension that would have him linked to the Paris Saint-Germain organization until the summer of 2027, prolonging his stance in the French capital for three more seasons on top of his current deal (expiring in 2024).
Arriving in July 2013, Marquinhos is about to turn 10 in Parisian lore. In a great piece of news popping up a few days ago, the Brazilian is also poised to ink a three-year extension that might have already been signed, according to different reports.
According to the latest whispers appearing in the press, the Brazilian should extend his contract for three more seasons until June 2027. The official announcement is seemingly imminent with PSG just waiting for the proper moment to publish their own statement.
Marquinhos has become a staple of Paris Saint-Germain through his nearly 10 years in the capital and he is far from being questioned in terms of his quality, leadership, and value by anyone in the organization.
Both sporting advisor Luis Campos and president Nasser Al-Khelaifi are convinced this is the right thing to do and they put no hurdles on Marquinhos' path toward an extension, one the Brazilian and current captain of PSG has long wanted to sign.
