Marcus Rashford remains on PSG's radar even after one-year extension
If there is a player currently playing at stunning in-form levels around Europe that must be Manchester United's forward Marcus Rashford. The English attacker has scored at least one goal in eight games of his last nine played. Although a new contract renewal with the Red Devils is not ruled out and is the preferred path for both him and Manchester, the striker is still on PSG's radar.
Marcus Rashford (25 years old) saw Manchester United execute the team option on his expiring deal (next June) to extend it until the summer of 2024. The Red Devils want his homegrown talent to sign a new long-term deal as soon as possible, knowing that the England international is of interest to big clubs. Specifically, the English international delights Paris Saint-Germain and that sole proposition is scaring the hell out of the Mancunians.
PSG have a plan to snatch Marcus Rashford from Manchester United
According to information reported by the Telegraph, Marcus Rashford is generating a huge amount of interest from PSG.
The Red Devils are currently in talks with their representatives to try to find an agreement for a contract renewal to be signed by the young forward. His coach, Erik ten Hag, would have already told him how essential his presence is for Manchester United to return to the top of the Premier League and start winning titles once more.
As far as Rashford is concerned, though, the player seems to be exclusively focused on the football side of things and doesn't want to have any distractions around his figure these days. That is entirely reasonable considering his contract with Manchester, after United executed the unilateral option, won't expire for the next 18 months.
According to the Telegraph, PSG will look for a major forward next summer with Lionel Messi maybe leaving the capital. Even if the Argentine genius stays put, there is a chance Kylian Mbappe leaves PSG. Neymar's future isn't any clearer in Paris.
One, plus one, plus one, make it three. Potential departures, that is. And if that's the case, PSG better have an alternative plan... they've seemingly come to label Plan Rashford.
