PSG will play their MD30 Ligue 1 game on the road paying a visit to Nice on Saturday, Apr. 8th, and they will do so without bringing Italy international Marco Verratti with them.
According to information from L'Equipe published on Thursday, the Italian midfielder suffered a "hit in the back of the knee" in the Paris Saint-Germain clash against Lyon last Sunday and was "doubtful for the trip to Nice" this weekend.
The worst possible news is now official, as PSG have shared a little medical note in which they are ruling Marco Verratti out of Saturday's match at Nice.
"Marco Verratti will remain in treatment for a muscle injury to the right hamstring, with a re-evaluation taking place in four days," informed the club.
Spain international and PSG defender Juan Bernat, who is suffering from a nagging right ankle injury (contusion) "will remain in treatment" through Friday ahead of tomorrow's game, which has him doubtful to appear in Saturday's game too.
Marco Verratti ruled out; Juan Bernat, Sergio Ramos, and Carlos Soler available to play
Coming off back-to-back home defeats in which they didn't even score a single goal, PSG must win on the road at the Allianz Riviera tomorrow if they want to avoid getting into serious trouble. Paris only lead Marseille and Lens (tied for second) by six points, so anything not ending in a win tomorrow could bring that distance to a tiny four-point, two-match margin.
When it comes to potential absentees on Saturday for the game against Nice, PSG manager Christophe Galtier won't have Presnel Kimpembe, Neymar, and Nordi Mukiele available, all three having already been ruled out with mid-and-long-term injuries.
According to our latest report and before Friday's training session, Sergio Ramos and Carlos Soler should be available to play on Saturday after missing last weekend's match against Lyon.
Galtier will speak to the media on Friday afternoon providing more information about the availability of his players while PSG will release the official gameday squad later today.
