After the elimination during the prior week from the Women's UEFA champions league, PSG Feminine were poised to put all of their attention on their first-division campaign for the remainder of the season, starting with a Sunday matchup against Bordeaux.

Usual starters Kadidiatou Diani and Ramona Bachmann were unable to take part as both were victims of injuries against Wolfsburg.

While the team already had to play without Marrie-Antoniette Katoto (like they've done throughout the season), the last thing they needed was any more goalscorers out.

The game against Bourdeaux was under the control of Paris through both halves, but there weren't too many significant chances; the most meaningful opportunity fell for Sandy Baltimore, which saw her attempt saved by the top of the post.

Bordeaux could only register one shot on target from five shots during the whole game, so it's fair to say Paris wasn't overly threatened when it came to losing. But even a draw wouldn't be enough for PSG due to Lyon's thrashing of Le Havre, which saw them win 7-0.

All the difference was made when youngster Mansitta Traore entered the pitch coming off the bench to be in the right place at the right time when Sakina Karchaoui's pass found the foot of the former, which gave PSG the 1-0 win and a much-needed three points.

Paris Saint-Germain are still just one point behind the league leaders and will have to continue claiming all three points in all of their remaining matches to snatch first place.

When will Diani and Bachmann return to the team?

It is unclear when they will return, as PSG has not confirmed anything yet.

The team's Instagram did upload a post about Diani, wishing her a speedy recovery and letting fans know she had suffered a fracture in the right collarbone.

As for Bachmann, there is nothing new on the subject. But all we do know is having the duo fully fit for the remainder of the season would prove vital.
