After joining the race of late, PSG has a reported interest in signing a young Atalanta forward although they might miss out with Manchester United leading the race to acquire the phenom forward.

Rasmus Hojlund and PSG might have already entered personal discussions, according to Fabrizio Romano.

However, PSG have not yet made an official bid nor submitted an offer to Atalanta in order to start a war for his services. Manchester United is aware of this and aims to take swift action by initiating an opening bid for the striker.

The reason United wants to act promptly is that they possess comprehensive knowledge about Hojlund's situation, and they have already reached a personal agreement with the player. Hojlund has given his approval to United's contract proposal, and the forward seemingly prefers to sign with the Red Devils.

While United is currently ahead in the race for Hojlund's signature, PSG remains in the picture and continues to communicate with the player's representatives. Hojlund's priority, however, lies with Manchester United.

PSG would only make a bid if United's negotiations with Atalanta were to proceed slowly, stall for some reason, or ultimately break leading to the player wanting out of Italy.

At present, the competition for the player is solely between Manchester United and PSG according to multiple reports and outlets echoing the news shared by Romano during the past few days and entering the final week of July.

United are considered the favorites to secure the deal, but they are aware of the need for expediency to finalize the transfer successfully. The upcoming week is crucial in determining whether the deal will come to fruition.
