Major PSG injury concerns ahead of Rennais and Arsenal clashes

PSG's draw at Reims came at a physical cost, with no fewer than three players potentially leaving the match with injuries. The most concerning is Desire Doue, who was seen with a large ice pack on his ankle.
Recently, PSG have typically ended matches with three points and one injury. However, this Saturday in Reims, the trend was reversed: a hard-fought point was gained, but three players left with varying degrees of knocks.
The most serious injury so far appears to be Doue’s, who requested to be substituted around the hour mark due to severe pain in his right ankle following a collision with a Reims player.
Doue, who was making his first start of the season, was later spotted on the bench with an ice pack on his right ankle, watching the remainder of the match. It’s the same ankle he injured while with the French U21 team two weeks ago.
Luis Enrique couldn’t provide a detailed update, only mentioning, "Doue has an ankle issue following a knock. We don’t know the full extent yet, but we’ll find out more tomorrow." According to reports, Doue was still in pain as he left the stadium.
The full extent of Doue’s injury, which could see him sidelined for several weeks based on the match replays, is not yet clear. Unfortunately, he wasn’t the only player hurt.

Vitinha, who is still struggling with an ankle injury sustained during international duty, had a subdued performance, and his early substitution (70th minute) seemed to be driven by both physical and tactical reasons. With two days of rest and the next match not until next Friday, the Portuguese player is hopeful for some relief.
However, the injury that went largely unnoticed concerns South Korean forward Kang-In Lee. Substituted with ten minutes left, seemingly for tactical reasons, Lee was later seen limping as he boarded the PSG team bus, “appearing to be uncomfortable with his left leg, though not overly concerned,” according to Le Parisien.
With PSG’s treatment room already housing Kimpembe, Hernandez, Ramos, Asensio, and Donnarumma, adding three more players would be a serious concern for the club.
Donnarumma is expected back soon and was present at Reims with his teammates, but Asensio isn’t due to return until PSG’s match against Arsenal in ten days, and the other injured players still have several weeks of recovery ahead.
As a reminder, PSG will host Stade Rennais on Friday, 27th September for MD6 of Ligue 1, before visiting Arsenal on Tuesday, 1st October for MD2 of the Champions League league stage.
