Paris Saint-Germain's recent Champions League defeat to AC Milan prompted former player and coach, Luis Fernandez, to express disappointment in the team's collective performance in European competitions.

Fernandez specifically pointed out a player whom he believes has been a liability throughout the season: central defender Milan Skriniar.

By singling out the defender, Fernandez explained, “Skriniar's marking on Giroud was not up to standard. No matter what you tell me, Skriniar is the weak link in this PSG team and defense!"

Said Fernandez while analyzing the game on beIN Sports: "Whether you agree with me or not, I take responsibility for my words and we can move on."

Despite Skriniar's reputation as an above-average before joining PSG, Fernandez made clear the presence of some weaknesses in the player's game since arriving in the French capital.

He pointed out shortcomings in Skriniar's marking and his difficulties in dealing with aerial duels, despite the player's height approaching two meters.

Fernandez also mentioned Skriniar's bad depth perception, which he usually misjudges on deep passes from the opposition leading to breaks ending in scoring chances.
