Kylian Mbappe, now legally able to negotiate with other clubs as he will enter free agency in less than six months, has not yet made a decision regarding his future. He is reportedly weighing options, deciding between extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, joining Real Madrid, or potentially moving to Liverpool of the English Premier League.

As reported by Le Parisien on Tuesday, Liverpool has emerged once more as a significant contender in the pursuit of Mbappe, challenging Real Madrid's long-standing interest.

Mbappé's contract with PSG will end on June 31, 2024, leaving him free to join another club if they submit a contract offer to the player--not having to negotiate a fee with PSG.

While PSG is keen to retain their record goalscorer and French world champion, it's not quite clear which option Mbappe will pick among those going through Paris, Madrid, and Liverpool.

Real Madrid, a club Mbappe has always admired, has been persistently trying to recruit him for years on end and since his explosion in Paris following an initial spell at Monaco. Despite previous rejections, a future relationship between Mbappe and Real Madrid seems plausible.

Liverpool, however, seemed to have left the picture... until now. The Reds have intensified their interest in the French superstar in recent months while staying in the shadows, and they aim to capitalize on Mbappe's previous decision not to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

Liverpool's coach Jurgen Klopp has been openly admiring Mbappe for years, and that's a factor that reportedly resonates with the French captain as he appreciates the love shown by the German manager since he started to make a name for himself in France.

Financially, Liverpool shouldn't have a problem paying Mbappe any money he demands, let alone being a Premier League club. It's not quite clear if Real Madrid is in such a prime position after the renovating of their stadium they recently completed.

Additionally, Mohamed Salah's contract ending next year and interest in him from Saudi Arabian clubs could also boost the financial willingness of Liverpool to pony up enough dough for Mbappe.

As is always the case with these things, so far, so radio silent from all parties involved in the rumors...
