Paris Saint-Germain loanee Li Mengwen's latest Instagram post has raised questions about the player's future. Her loan with PSG is coming to an end, and now more than ever, the question of whether or not she will remain with the club needs to be solved.
Mengwen posted a heartwarming message on her personal Instagram account earlier this week, in which she wrote about her first season with the Parisian club.
The Chinese player arrived in Paris on loan from her country's club Jiangsu.

A lovely written post by the 28-year-old, Mengwen's message could be just marking a final note to her first season with the club now that the campaign has ended, or it could have been written due to her journey with PSG being over with the Chinese player departing next month.
Especially, the last sentence including the phrase "I wish you all the best," is concerning for those wanting to see the player stay in Paris for at least one more season.
At the moment, Mengwen's situation for the foreseeable future hasn't changed from what we've known all along. However, it is believed that PSG could be preparing a deal for the player to stay in the capital, along with Swedish defender Amanda Ilestedt.
During the D1 Arkema season, Mengwen played 13 matches and logged 745 minutes. During those numbers, she provided one assist for a fellow teammate.
It seems Mengwen enjoyed her time in Paris and would probably favor an extended deal to remain at PSG.
Mengwen has been an excellent addition to the squad, and giving her a permanent contract or even another loan would be a smart move from the club.
If PSG will continue their journey with Li remains to be seen. The club is determined to have a successful season when the 2023/24 campaign gets started after the summer.
PSG know that changes in personnel are highly required whether that means bringing new players in, letting some leave, or extending current ones.
Ashley Lawrence and Kheira Hamraoui will be leaving the capital, and other names have big question marks hanging above their heads with their futures soon to be decided.
