Kylian Mbappe is set to sit on the substitutes' bench as France takes on Greece this Tuesday, providing the star player with a well-deserved break after scoring a hat-trick against Gibraltar last weekend.

The French team, coming off a record-breaking 14-0 victory against Gibraltar, faces Greece in a match where qualification for the next Euro in Germany has already been secured.

Didier Deschamps will make several changes to the lineup of his team, including benching Mbappe because of load management concerns.

The decision to rest Mbappe, as reported by RMC, follows discussions between the player and the French team staff. The move is simply due to the busy schedule awaiting PSG and the superstar forward in the coming weeks.

PSG will have to play pivotal matches in both the Ligue 1 and the Champions League, thus this mutually agreed decision.

With nothing riding on the outcome of the match against Greece after France already qualified for the Euro 2024 in the break before this one, the French squad will feature less used players such as Ousmane Dembele, and Randal Kolo Muani, both also of PSG.
