Kylian Mbappe, PSG's star forward, was visibly frustrated with the team's tactical approach in the final moments of their Champions League match against Dortmund, one that ended in a 1-1 draw and clinched PSG a place in the knockout stages.

Despite securing a spot in the round of 16 with the result earned on Wednesday, Mbappe was dissatisfied with PSG's decision to play conservatively towards the end of the game, risking their tickets for the next stage had they conceded a second goal.

In the closing stages, after a conversation between manager Luis Enrique and defender Achraf Hakimi, PSG visibly shifted to a more cautious and defensive, "waiting" style, aiming to preserve the draw.

This approach conflicted with Mbappe's aggressive mindset, as he was visibly upset by the team's decision to not pursue a victory that could have given PSG the top spot in Group F had they scored just one more goal. In truth, this would have made all of the sense 1) to avoid trouble and 2) as PSG had had clear-cut chances throughout the game.

After the match, Mbappe's disappointment was evident as he didn't celebrate the qualification as he should and more than anything he avoided speaking to the media members present at the Signal Iduna Park stadium.
