Kylian Mbappe's potential contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain remains in limbo according to the latest reports informing about the negotiations between both sides have seemingly stalled with no agreement on the horizon.

With his contract set to expire in June 2024, the French world champion forward (turning 25 years old on Wednesday), has yet to decide on his future and whether that goes through Paris or far from the nation's capital. This, obviously, has everything to do with the interest widely publicized (even though they would never accept it) by Real Madrid.

Mbappe has been at the center of speculation regarding his relationship with PSG and their board for a few years now, and a potential breakup once more felt closer than ever following a reported row with manager Luis Enrique.

Tensions between Enrique and Mbappe seem to have risen due to the manager's leadership style and Mbappe's ever-changing positioning on the field. These incidents have led to questions about the relationship between Mbappe and Enrique being precarious at best, and non-existent at worst.

L'Equipe has reported that PSG's management is handling these developments calmly and with confidence in retaining both the player and the coach for longer. The outlet noted that Mbappe, "known for his strong personality," has "historically had complex relationships with PSG managers." The newspaper suggests that this current situation with Luis Enrique is not out of the ordinary, and simply another thing everybody has to deal with if they want to employ a diva-forward like Mbappe.

Media outlets from Spain haven't reported any new discussions taking place between Real Madrid, PSG, and Mbappe in the past few days, however you want to order those factors and particulars.

PSG only views the resolution of this situation and the future extension of Mbappe at PSG as one strictly dependent on Mbappe's feelings and his well-being in Paris, expecting a positive outcome for the Qatar-ruled club.
