Once again, the future of Kylian Mbappe was the main subject discussed around the concentration of the French national team. A recurring thing this week while Les Bleus still have Euro 2024 qualifying matches to take on.
This time, it was Telefoot who asked Mbappe about his future to which he replied that he intends to stay at PSG for the 2023/24 season: "I didn't come for that. But I already said that. I'll stay. I said that long before all this happened."
Kylian Mbappe: "I only know that I will play for PSG next year"
Asked about a possible exit in the summer of 2024, the forward answered vaguely: "I only know that I will play for PSG next year--that's what I said. There are many things that can happen in a year, especially in a club like PSG".
This is turning into a true soap opera like the one that marked the 2021/22 season before Mbappe finally renewed his deal at PSG. Everything points in that direction once more unless PSG sells the player this summer, as that seems to be the will of the club if Kylian refuses to extend his contract.
However, there is a sign that could indicate that Mbappe is far from leaving Paris.
The Bondy native would have been involved in the transfer market recently, as revealed by RMC: “Paris now wants to give Mbappe the means to feel good about the club's project. The players tracked are all compatible with his expectations and skill set. Mbappe also has not hesitated to pick up his phone to talk to the PSG board about potential signings to pursue."
For his part, the player's mother was also asked by a young fan about the possible arrival of Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid this summer and her answer was very clear: "Paris, Paris, Paris."
