The management of Kylian Mbappe by Luis Enrique has come under criticism in recent weeks, despite PSG's successes in Ligue 1 and European competitions.

Amidst this turmoil, French coach and former footballer Antoine Kombouare has come to the defense of the Spanish coach, also praising his work at the helm of the Parisian team.

Kombouare, present at Parc des Princes as a consultant for Prime Video during the match against Reims, expressed his support for Luis Enrique. He highlighted the coach's strategy, which seems to be preparing for the team's future while keeping Mbappe in key matches in the Champions League and the Coupe de France.

Kombouare's views on PSG's Luis Enrique: "He does things few coaches do"

"I'm impressed by Luis Enrique's work. He does things that few coaches do, aside from Guardiola perhaps. I'm referring to his way of rotating the squad and managing. We'll judge at the end of the season, but his ability to make the players, all internationals, accept his methods and what he asks of them, impresses me," Kombouare assured.

The Frenchman even compared him to Guardiola, praising his ability to manage a squad full of international stars and make them accept his methods. The coach's ability to instill a spirit of constant pressure in his players was also highlighted.

Regarding his own experience at PSG, Kombouare reflected calmly. Although his departure from the club in the 2011-2012 season was abrupt, he holds no resentment. He acknowledged the inevitability of paving the way for Carlo Ancelotti's arrival, although he regrets not being able to see how the season would have ended under his command.
