Despite being on the sidelines for the season's final games, Paris Saint-Germain Feminine's Kadidiatou Diani was able to hold onto her lead as the D1 Arkema top goalscorer ultimately earning the award by the end of the season.

Diani was responsible for scoring a total of 17 goals in 17 matches, and thanks to those goals, she was able to keep PSG in contention for the League title (which ultimately went to Lyon) up to the penultimate matchday of the campaign.

Diani also received the Player of the Season award for the 2022/23 D1 Arkema campaign. However, she missed out on the same honor awarded by the UNFP a few days ago.

Now she has added a fifth trophy for the 2022/23 season to her collection after having won a Player of the Month award, a spot in the Best XI for both the D1 Arkema and UNFP Awards, and, as mentioned, Player of the Year in the latter gala. Now to top that off, she can take home this goal-scoring achievement.

Kadidiatou Diani will now be preparing for the upcoming Women's World Cup, where she will hope she can claim this kind of trophy and title again. Her PSG and France teammate, Marie Antoinette-Katoto, has officially withdrawn from the tournament due to an ongoing ACL injury.

It looks like the goalscoring responsibility will again go to Diani, as it did last summer at the Euros and this season at PSG. Another forward part of the France national team, Delphine Cascarino, has suffered the same type of injury as Katoto and will not be able to play in the World Cup.

This will be an excellent opportunity for Diani to carry on showcasing her incredible talent. Hopefully, she will fully recover from her surgery to do so when the time comes.

The 24-year-old's contract at PSG runs out this month, but most likely an extension will be offered for Diani to sign as soon as possible.
