Christophe Galtier has seemingly been informed of his departure, and PSG is already taking action on Julian Nagelsmann. The sacking of the former and the appointment of the latter could be made official by the end of this week.

According to L'Equipe, the German coach is expected to meet with the Parisian board soon to continue negotiations, reportedly as soon as Wednesday in Paris. If an agreement is reached, the ex-coach of Bayern Munich could sign with PSG while also coming to the capital accompanied by Thierry Henry and other "great French former players."

As expected, Christophe Galtier will leave the Parisian club, his board informed him on Tuesday. Even before this happened, Paris was already looking for his successor. Although several names have been mentioned, the German coach seems to be in the pole position to take over PSG's touchline.

When the Nagelsmann rumors broke a few days ago, it was mentioned that Henry would arrive as his assistant. It's definitely a surprising duo and that fueled a lot to talk about in the last few hours, but it's actually a very possible thing to happen, according to the latest reports.

According to various media outlets, the two men have already discussed the matter of linking up in Paris, although it seems that it will be difficult to convince the Arsenal icon to join PSG.

Julian Nagelsmann would like to work with Thierry Henry and other former legends

The idea of having a Frenchman by his side seems to be of great interest to the 35-year-old manager. Nagelsmann could build a squad with other former French players around him as part of the PSG coaching staff, mostly because of their knowledge of the French championship.

"If Henry comes with Nagelsmann, there could be other Frenchmen joining the coaching staff," said Loic Tanzi of L'Equipe. That, in turn, could help the German coach to learn the specifics of the PSG dressing room, together with former great French players that are already into it because of their prior experiences.

Therefore, it seems that regardless of the signings that are sealed during the summer transfer market, PSG will achieve its long-chased goal of "Frenchifying" their squad and their staff on top of that.
