Ilyes Housni has officially joined Al-Sadd, a Doha-based club, on loan for the entire 2023/24 season. The details of this unexpected transfer remain undisclosed at this moment.

Just hours before their inaugural Champions League match against Dortmund, PSG will let their eighteen-year-old Ilyes Housni go on a loan deal to Al-Sadd, the club announced on Monday.

The announcement from the Qatari club shared through their social media channels, left the football world a bit shocked because there had not been even a tiny leak about this deal.

It looks like the loan arrangement for the Paris-trained striker will last the entire 2023/24 season, but it's still unclear if a purchase option has been included in the negotiated deal.

Ilyes Housni's move marks the fourth transfer between PSG and a Qatari club, following Abdou Diallo, Marco Verratti, and Julian Draxler, but it differs from the previous transactions as this one is on a loan deal.
