On Wednesday, April 10th, PSG welcomed FC Barcelona to the Parc des Princes for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. It was the first of two matches in this showdown between titans.

Both Parisians and Catalans didn't disappoint. From the get-go, both teams showcased their football proposals, and although PSG dominated possession, it was FC Barcelona who struck first in the 37th minute, courtesy of Raphinha.

That's how the first half ended, and while we noticed the first change by Luis Enrique, sending Marco Asensio to the bench and Bradley Barcola onto the pitch, Rouge & Bleu equalized 1-1 after a brilliant play by Kylian Mbappé (48'). This time, Ousmane Dembélé found the net, validating the law of the former.

Just two minutes later, after an exceptional collective play between Kang-In Lee and Bradley Barcola, Fabián Ruiz magnificently assisted Vitinha, who calmly put PSG ahead on the scoreboard (50').

The match ended with a 2-3 scoreline. The second leg will be played at the Estadio Olímpico de Montjuic on Tuesday, April 16th. Who will advance to the semifinals of the top continental competition?

Both PSG and FC Barcelona are undoubtedly gearing up for an intense battle to secure a spot in the semifinals. With the narrow margin of victory for Barcelona in the first leg, PSG will be eager to turn the tables on their opponents in front of their home crowd. On the other hand, Barcelona will be looking to maintain their advantage and clinch a berth in the next round.
