PSG is gradually seeing the return of its international players. On Monday, July 29, two key internationals rejoined the squad: Gianluigi Donnarumma and Milan Skriniar.
Since July 15, Luis Enrique and his staff have resumed training at the PSG Campus with a reduced group of non-internationals and young academy players. Gradually, the Spanish coach is getting his full squad back together.
According to Marc Mechenoua of Le Parisien, Donnarumma and Skriniar, both eliminated in the Round of 16 at Euro 2024 with Italy and Slovakia respectively, returned for physical and medical tests. While Donnarumma's position as the starting goalkeeper seems secure despite the arrival of Matvey Safonov, Skriniar's future at PSG is more uncertain.
Recent reports from Le Parisien suggest that Luis Campos plans to inform Skriniar that he is not part of the club's plans. Despite maintaining a good reputation in Italy, Skriniar's salary could be a stumbling block for any potential move. Additionally, the player might want to stick to his contract with PSG, which runs until June 2028, as he expressed his desire to stay at the club just before Euro 2024.
