Less than a week from the match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, Danilo Pereira, through an interview for AFP, spoke of the Parisian ambitions for this second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 (Wednesday, Mar. 8), assuring that PSG "have changed" from the version they showed in the return game.

In less than a week, PSG will play for their future in the European Cup. On March 8, the Parisians will travel to the Allianz Arena in Munich to play the second leg of the Champions League last-16 match against Bayern.

Before this high-stakes match, Danilo Pereira spoke to AFP and first of all, he discussed the first leg in a very lucid way: “We know that mentally we were not in the right position. Now, mentally, we are ready and physically everything will be ready too, I think that's what was missing."

Since this defeat at home against the Germans, PSG have reacted well with two consecutive victories against Lille (4-3) and Marseille (3-0), a rebound that the midfielder comments very positively on.

Danilo Pereira: "We have to play against Bayern with an all-in mentality, like in Marseille"

"After the three consecutive defeats, we spoke, not only among ourselves but with the coach and the entire coaching staff. All of that is behind us now", said the Portuguese. After the win in Marseille, the Parisian coach, Christophe Galtier also mentioned this meeting between players and coaching staff.

Victorious against Marseille in Ligue 1, PSG showed a much more reassuring face than in recent weeks. Danilo Pereira believes that this game will serve as an example before going to Munich.

"We have to play against Bayern with an all-in mentality, like in Marseille", said the versatile player, before adding: "If we lose, we're out, if we win, we'll go through, that's how we have to face this match."

After the injury to Presnel Kimpembe, a victim of a ruptured Achilles tendon, the Portuguese will have an important role to play. If Christophe Galtier were to maintain his 3-5-2 formation, the former Porto man should be lined up in central defense, alongside Marquinhos and Sergio Ramos.

It would not be a novelty, since Danilo has played 16 times in this position this season. Pereira had already played in this position against Bayern in April 2021 (2-3). Positioned in midfield for the first 30 minutes, he was moved to a central position in the defensive line after Marquinhos went down with an injury back then.
