PSG are actively pursuing the signing of Bradley Barcola to bolster their offensive arsenal. The 20-year-old winger has been linked to the Parisian club for months, but now the French champions face competition from another mammoth club targeting the young forward.

PSG's leadership aims to secure Bradley Barcola's services before the window shuts down in September, as reported by Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport. The outlet, however, warned that Chelsea might be actively pursuing the signing of the French talent and could beat PSG to him.

The young Lyon striker has connections with both Luis Campos and Luis Enrique. In fact, Luis Enrique has already communicated with the 20-year-old Frenchman.

However, no agreement has materialized between PSG and Bradley Barcola at this point. Negotiations with Olympique Lyonnais have been deemed as "challenging business," considering the rivalry between both clubs.

Despite Lyon rejecting an initial offer ranging "from €30m to €35m," uncertainty lingers about the final sum Lyon would approve to enter discussions about a sale.

Figures around €50m have been mentioned, but it is unlikely that the amount will either reach such heights. That said, it's more than probable that Lyon won't budge and accept anything below €35m, according to insiders communicated by sources close to OL.

Manchester City appear to have withdrawn from the race, focusing on Jeremy Doku instead, but Chelse have rapidly ramped up their efforts to land the Frenchman, even more after they failed to complete a deal for Michael Olise of Crystal Palace.

Fabrice Hawkins reports that "Chelsea have accelerated on Bradley Barcola in recent hours," saying that the wunderkind is "well placed in the Blues' shortlist."

Hawkins notes that Barcola "has not committed to any side at this stage." Despite OL reportedly opening the door to Barcola's transfer while under contract through June 2026, they have declined PSG's offers sent during the past few weeks.

Now Paris Saint-Germain will need to act quickly if they don't want to lose this battle to Chelsea on top of everything.
