Paris Saint-Germain Feminine have announced the exit of goalkeeper, Barbora Votikova, from the organization.

Votikova becomes the third player to leave PSG in the last few weeks following the departures of Ashley Lawrence and Kheira Hamraoui.

The player joined PSG in 2021 and has spent two seasons with the club. She was their main goalkeeper during the 2021/22 season but was out for the 2022/23 season and only played one game, the last matchday of the D1 Arkema season.

Votikova recently became the fourth-string keeper for PSG to call upon as Katarzyna Kiedrzynek re-signed for the club after being away for three years, and Sarah Bouhaddi and Constance Picaud still being a part of the team.

The 26-year-old was present for one trophy win with the club, the Coupe De France victory last year again Yzeure.

This news has come as a bit of a shock as even though it was known her contract was ending, there weren't any rumors suggesting the player would be leaving the capital, and there wasn't any news attaching her to another club.

Barbora Votikova's personal statement

A lovely goodbye from the Czech Republic goalkeeper, indeed.

Marie Antoinette-Katoto, Amanda Ilestedt, and Ramona Bachmann bid goodbye and wished their now-former teammate good luck.

It remains to be seen where Votikova plays next, as there hasn't been any talk around the topic yet, but now that she's a free agent, it seems safe to say that news will start coming out.

While PSG aleady have signed goalkeeper, Katarzyna Kiedrzynek, which takes them to three goalkeepers to rely on possibly, but it feels like they will sign another keeper. That would only be guessed as Sarah Bouhaddi will most likely leave the club in the next few weeks.

Or, it could be that the club wants to start using Constance Picaud as their usual starting goalkeeper after she stepped up alongside Sarah Bouhaddi this season due to Votikova's injury; therefore, they wouldn't be signing any more goalkeepers this Summer.

We wish Barbora Votikova good luck for the future.
