PSG Academy midfielder Ayman Kari will continue his development at FC Lorient with the Parisian club extending his loan deal for another season at the fellow Ligue 1 club, Lorient confirmed on their site.

After a successful six-month loan spell with the club last season, the 18-year-old midfielder will embark on a new loan adventure in Brittany, which was confirmed by the mid-tablers on Thursday as Kari still has two more seasons signed with PSG running through June 2025.

During his loan stint with Lorient in the second half of the 2022-23 season, Kari featured in five Ligue 1 matches, accumulating 96 minutes of playing time. Notably, he played a significant role in Lorient's victory against PSG (of all teams) at the Parc des Princes, playing 31 minutes against his team.

There was reported interest from English clubs in Kari but the Frenchman expressed his desire to continue his progress at Lorient and his native country instead of moving abroad at his young age, preferring to delay such a move in the event the opportunity arises again in the future.
